Ma solituda sinks confusion
This weekend I went up to Jacksonville to work at the Pier 1 store in Orange Park (one of the managers had a family emergency and my regional manager called me up and asked me to cover for her). So I drove up Friday afternoon and worked Friday night. The people up there are really nice! So after work I took off for the beach and a driving tour of Jax, wherein I got lost for about an hour. But finally around midnight I made it out to Pointe something-or-other and parked my car and walked barefoot in the sand. It was a very beautiful night, and this is what I saw when I looked up:

It was the most beautiful, amazing sight I’d seen in a very long time. (No, I didn’t take that picture) the moon was directly overhead, surrounded by a circle of perfect darkness and a ring/rainbow of light. Then outside the rainbow was a solid mass of clouds… like the moon itself had burned a hole through the cloudy sky and was shining down on the beach. It really made me miss my Wisconsin girls. I really wish Sara had been there, she would have loved it and appreciated the beauty of it. So I just walked, and walked, and walked some more until my toes started to freeze and I went back to the hotel. But it was a very calming night, and I had a chance to think about everything that’s going on in my life and all the things I hope to change in the next few months.
