The first REAL Wisconsin update
Well it’s been a while since I last updated, but a lot has been going on! It’s been two weeks since I got up here, and finally I’ve got a place to live! I still don’t have any furniture (until my parents come up from Florida in two weeks), but at least I have a place to call home. It looks like Andy will be living with me, which will really help out with my finances, though not with my liver! The two of us went barhopping in Waukesha last night, suffice to say he’s still passed out on the floor and I’m just starting to remember what we drank.
Work has been going well; I think I’m finally getting over the initial shock of changing jobs and dealing with new people every day. My coworkers seem really nice, and there’s even some really cute girls working there! But the pace of work is much faster — it’s a bigger store and most of the responsibility of the stockroom has been assigned to me. On the plus side, I get more of a workout moving all that furniture so hopefully I’ll get more buff!
So far I haven’t missed Ocala so much as I’ve missed the people I left behind. I really miss talking to Crystal every night, seeing Erica all the time and hanging out with the boys. I haven’t had much of a chance to socialize up here since I work full-time now, and I usually come home and rest for a while before doing anything. Maybe this week I’ll get to go out since I need to buy a few things for the apartment?
Oh yeah, I’m living in Waukesha now, which is about 20 minutes outside of Milwaukee but is about 10 minutes away from work. I wont have to drive all that much, which is something I’ll look forward to in the winter once it starts snowing.
