Happy 100th Harley!
I couldn’t ignore it anymore… this weekend marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of Harley-Davidson, and with the original manufacturing plant located here in the Milwaukee area, literally hundreds of thousands of bikers are flocking to the area to celebrate. The congestion on the roads along with the inescapable “potato-potato-potato” sound of a Harely engine roaring by my window every few minutes is proof of the massive following of devoted owners this now century-old company has. Tomorrow is the big parade down Bluemound Road / Wisconsin Avenue (from the zoo to the lakefront), and tens of thousands of riders are expected to show their pride.
