The car that wouldn’t die

Well this is the second major problem i’ve had with the little green turd (ie: my ‘95 Mitsubishi Galant). Some of you may recall the exploding transmission incident from last year — that ended up costing me and my dad about two grand, and i’m still paying for it in high credit card debt. Well on the way home from Sara’s yesterday my check engine light came on, and sure enough I had to pull over cause the car was overheating. Looks like my water pump blew up on me :p so now I have to have the darned thing towed from a gas station in Brookfield all the way to the radiator place here in Waukesha, on top of having to put a new pump in it… When it’s all done with it’ll put me back around 400+ bucks >:( So I’m pretty fed up with putting money into an eight year old car; does anyone have any recommendations for new cars? I’m looking into something cheap yet sporty, like a Civic, Corolla or maybe even an Echo. It has to be a new car, at the most a 2002 model, and I’m trying to stay below $12,000.

Yea, Christina has a 99′ Corolla LE and that thing never misses a beat. We bought it with 9,000 miles on it in 00′ and now it has 80,000 miles. It has yet to be in the shop for any repairs! BTW on a previous note, Tmobile has limited coverage. They have nice phones, but I am actually thinking of switching to Verizon b/c they have an unl txt msg package right now, and their new LG phone is pretty sweet;). Also I lost your email address so I have not been able to email you. Drop me an email so you can tell me about the weather in Wis. I finally gave up on I.T. and decided to go back and finish my BA in business admin, hopefully money permitting I will move onto my masters in human resource management (I know sounds boring, but I get to deal with people and employment law without having to sell any products! I hate sales!). I am thinking of moving either to VA, PA, or OH. I figured you being a native Floridian like myself you can give me the inside on if it is worth it or not :). Holla at you later man.
