Warped Tour review

Well I just got back from the Warped Tour (actually, I just got back from a few rounds at Landmark…) and I must say it was an interesting day. Sara and I got to the show around 1pm, a little after the first bands started, and our day pretty much went as followed: we spent the first hour or two scoping out the grounds, finding out where all of the bands were playing and trying to find a freakin map! Once we finally found one, we took a break and saw Bowling for Soup. Then after dinner we saw Less Than Jake play their set (which Sara really wanted to see; ironically, they’re from Gainesville! I guess I’m dumb for not having known that earlier :p). It was awesome! A very cool show, complete with “history setting” run-around-the-Vans-tents moshing and fireworks. Then we saw Pennywise, which actually wasn’t as great as I was hoping. Most of the audience agreed, since a lot of people were booing when they played their new songs instead of sticking with the old anthems. Then The Used came on, and we stuck around until they played The Taste of Ink. Finally we went and saw Yellowcard, they kicked ass!!! Their set was so full of energy; I’d definitely love to see them again anytime. We actually ended up skipping The Ataris, but we could hear them from Veterans Park (where we spent a little bit trying to find Mars amid the glow of the city lights). We ended our day with a visit to Landmark, kicking back a few drinks and sharing a few thoughts. So here I am, posting from Sara’s puter. I didn’t take any pictures at the show, but I’ll try to get a few links from the Warped Tour site so everyone can get an idea of what it was like :) Now it’s time for some much needed sleep!
