Listening to: Frank Sinatra - Fly Me To The Moon
Many a good thing has happened to me in the last week. It looks like things in my life are finally starting to work themselves out. I start work at a new job in three weeks, but not before I finish out my time at Pier 1. A little bit of me is sad to leave, since the people I work with really are fun to be around. But the prospect of more money, along with no longer having to perform manual labor to earn a decent salary is what has drawn me away.
Changing jobs has almost always resulted in some vacation time for me, and this is will be no exception. I’m taking a few days off to enjoy the end of the nice fall weather here, and to spend some time with my close friends catching up. Next week I’ll be going to Chicago to see The Matrix Revolutions with Devon and his brother, and possibly all on an IMAX screen! Then on the 7th Maritime is playing at The Cactus Club (and from what I’ve heard, they really are awesome — check out the site!). It looks like I’ll finally be making a much anticipated trip to IKEA to pick up some accessories for the apartment. And after that, it’s only a matter of days until Erica comes up for Thanksgiving! Devon will also be making the trip up here that weekend; it’ll be our first turkey day apart from our families, but together as friends :)
