In like a lion, Out like a lamb

March started out harsh enough; It was colder than most people could remember around here, and I was adjusting to the new job. But now at month’s end it’s certainly turned around. Tiki dragged me along to the Death Cab show Friday night, and man was it great! The opening band +/- (Plus/Minus) had a great set too, good enough to make me order their CD off their website.

Saturday was Sara’s 23rd birthday, and because of an obscenely long wait at Red Lobster (”An hour?!?! Hey, look, we’re finally sitting down at 9pm!!!”), John and I ended up making her dinner. Props go to the not-so-bald man for making some excellent quesadillas and some extra garlicy potatoes. I threw together my usual batch of black beans and rice (don’t forget the salsa!), and according to the birthday girl it was “exactly what she was thinking.” Yay us; her boys can cook!

Today begins the apartment hunt; I’m not sure where it will take me but anything is better than the 45-minute commute I endure every morning to work… Today was also the first day of my new workout routine at Bally, which I fully intend to stick with despite the $40/month price tag. The variety of exercise equipment should keep me from getting bored with a fitness regimen, and hopefully by the time I visit Florida this summer I’ll look as good as I want to O_o
