Milwaukee 53227
Took me long enough, but I finally got everything situated at the new place. Anyone that knows where it’s at (ie: those of you that helped me move all my stuff) is welcome to stop by and check it out. Give it a few more weeks and it’ll be that much closer to being the ultimate bachelor pad that I’ve wanted for so long.
The convenience of living in Milwaukee/West Allis has come with a price… Once again the victim of bad karma, my car got broken into this weekend. This time the bastards (punk kids, best as I reckon) got the stereo and subs & amp. I’m really quite apathetic about it, since it’s happened before (but last time nothing was stolen). But it sucks to be driving around with a plastic bag duct-taped to the space where one of my windows used to be. Not to mention the huge gaping hole where my radio and center dash once were. Fockers.
Aside from that, I’m loving the new job. I don’t have to drive to downtown Milwaukee anymore (and thusly avoid the nightmare of rush hour on 794), and I really love my coworkers and the environment I work in. Everyone’s really passionate about their jobs, which makes it even more fun to work. And who could pass up the chance to work a few cubes down from The Bald Man? You know who I’m talking about ;)
Lastly, I’m finally ordering my new car this weekend, so it’s only a matter of time before I’m cruising around in my dream ride. Rather than put money into my dying green turd-mobile, I’m saving up for a security system on the new one. Makes sense, says I. Andy and Stacy are going to Florida next week, so I’ll have the new place all to myself. Like I said, visitors are welcome (and expected). You bring the party, I’ll make the drinks.
