We’re only just as happy as everyone else seems to think we are

It’s been a while since the last update, due in part to a lack of Internet connectivity. The problem’s been resolved though — thank you Andy for paying the cable bill :p

Things have been pretty interesting this last month. I should have known that those green flames (see previous post) were a sign of things to come. Last night I had to call 911 when I was driving back home from the bar… it was a very surreal thing to pull up to an intersection and see bodies on the ground. There was a car right in the middle of the street, and people screaming to call an ambulance, so the andrenaline kicked in and I called for an ambulance. I didn’t stick around, but there were dozens of people helping the two (possibly three?) people that had been hit by the car. I’m keeping an eye on the news to find out what happened, but so far there hasn’t been anything.

My schedule at work is changing come January, as is everyone else’s. There’s a mandatory “shift bid” (in which you give up your current shift and have to choose a new schedule from a list, and then are given that new shift so long as your seniority permits), so who knows what hours I’ll be working after the 16th. The frustrating thing is that I don’t know what my school schedule is going to look like, so I have no idea what work schedule to pick. Even worse, I’m stuck with whatever schedule I get. We’ll see how that works out.

I decided to change the color scheme on the site just a little, as blue was getting a little boring. Red is fun! I’ve also removed Kelly from the main site, since she decided to stop updating her blog and I don’t think anyone read it anyways. Watch out Devon, you’re next!

Thanks to Bonto’s performance at Landmark last week, I’ve just downloaded Dreams by Van Halen. 80s hair bands rock! I’m also watching Invader Zim episodes on my computer until the DVD collection comes out early next year. ::sings the Doom song::

Sara took me shopping this last week, and my wardrobe is starting to look much nicer than it used to. Awesome shirts, bright colors, kick-ass pants… all thanks to her radical taste in clothes. Sara, you rock! If I ever become famous, I’m hiring you on as a full-time fashion consultant :) Now I just need to find some new shoes

Lastly, I’m making an effort to spend more time with Sara (still waiting on her application for “best friend”) and others that I’ve not given as much attention as I want to. The other day I got a fortune cookie that said the time is right to make new friends; I see it as a time to not only make new friends but do a little rearranging of my current circle of friends and put people in their right places.
