Wind Turbines don’t kill birds. Power lines, truck drivers and feral cats kill birds.

For all you animal lovers who oppose making the world a better place by way of cleaner energy sources, read this article and stop arguing that countless animals will die from hitting wind turbines. If slowing global warming costs the life of 2 birds per turbine per year, I’d rather a pigeon hit a giant moving fan than smacking into my car while I’m driving.

I agree that wind power makes sense. You know what though? Conservatives (most not all) hate the word “Global Warming”. They don’t believe in it, just like Homer says “Lisa, vampires are make-believe, like elves, gremlins, and eskimos.” They start saying things like “If we go wind power then the environmentalists will say something else is caused by the wind power. Like a shift in wind patterns, or more erosion”.
Somedays I wish we had the forward thinking of Tony Blair. He’s all for supporting measures to stop global warming. (R) like to criticize it also saying the Earth changes every few hundred years too and ignore it. I’m not saying you can 100% prove global warming but there’s so many scientific facts coming out too.
You can request your power company to use power only from wind and other environmental forms. They just buy it from a power company that does wind etc, and it’s just a phone call to do it. Might not make a big change overall but makes you feel like your helping.
I always think in the future we’ll be growing so many things underground with artifical forms of light etc. hehe… The question going back to wind, people also argue does it change the way birds migrate? Things adapt. Not saying we can drill in Alaska cos Caribou will adapt and live outside cities. Just think it’s so minimal we should go fwd with more alternative n-r-g.
