A very belated Happy New Year
Can it be? It’s been almost three weeks since I updated on here, and surprisingly there haven’t been too many complaints. Though with Scott closing up shop at Brewtown Politico I think there’s at least one person out there who’ll be reading my blog more often.
To recap the last three weeks, it looks like the world has survived the arrival of Y2K7 without a hitch. Here in America’s Finest City, things haven’t changed much. I left Qualcomm at the end of December, and started the new year with a new job. The downside to my new position is I now have a lengthy daily commute, but it’s in exchange for a job that I’m so far very happy at and offers me the chance to travel all over the continent and beyond.
Beyond that, I’m trying to do more things in the city and try new places/things. The other day I got a chance to eat at Royal Thai in the Gaslamp; the lunch menu is affordable and their curry isn’t the kind that will set your mouth, intestines and general insides on fire. And now that we work similar schedules, Sara and I got a chance to go to The Vine in OB and share a bottle of 2003 Jocelyn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. So tasty! I also had my first taste of Pizza Nova which wasn’t too bad either. And they deliver pizza in white XAs!
Lastly: in honor of the Chargers making to the playoffs, I find it only fitting to share their 70s roller disco/porno music-inspired theme song. Go Bolts!
