Laid-off in San Diego
The kick-ass job I started at the beginning of the year is no more. It was a great 60-day run, and with any luck I’ll be working for the same company by the beginning of next month. In the meantime, I have a chance to enjoy the life of a beach bum in San Diego:

I’ve been taking advantage of Free Tuesday at the museums in Balboa Park, but mostly I’ve been trying to enjoy the beautiful weather the city has to offer. I’m getting a little bored with sitting around the house playing video games and John was kind enough to let me borrow his bike for a while; maybe I’ll finally get off my butt and work out like I’ve been telling myself to for the last few months.
I bit the bullet and bought Casino Royale yesterday, and watching it has forced me to retract my previous statement about how I thought Daniel Craig wouldn’t be a good fit as James Bond. If nothing else it’s worth watching for the Aston Martin DBS.
