How it All Began

It was the 1980s: a decade that began with NASA’s space shuttle program and ended with the fall of the Berlin Wall. Somewhere in between, my dad brought home an Apple II one day and hooked it up in our living room. Thanks to Conan the Barbarian: Hall of Volta I couldn’t stop playing with it. Eventually I tried my hand at a few other games and programs and before I knew it I had become a computer geek.

A few years later my dad bought a Gateway 2000 486 DX2-66. With the help of my best friend I setup my first website on Geocities — a Star Trek fan site the traces of which have long-since disappeared. Once I learned HTML, things just kept moving forward and in August 2000 I registered the domain fugeelama.com. A decade of bouncing from one hosting provider to another and nine site redesigns later brings you to the page you now see.

This site makes use of CSS and should be viewable in most every browser out there without any problems. I’ve done extensive testing to make sure it looks exactly the way I want it to in Firefox on both Windows and OS X but I can’t promise it’ll stand up the same in any other browser (like Internet Explorer; sorry Micro$oft fanboys!).
