Even from our seats high up in the mezzanine, you could feel the music and hear the voices like we were right up front. And despite the lack of lightsaber duels or ninja fights, the flying monkeys (and Carol Kane) made up for it.

The show closes in LA next month but opens in San Francisco (in addition to a nationwide tour that runs through 2009 and performances ). So if you liked The Wizard of Oz or just want to check out a very good show, check it out!

Everyone’s invited and no, Stormtrooper apparel is not required (though I’d pay for any of the girls I know to dress up as slave Leia for me).
